Intensive Care Unit
Urgent care is provided by a team of nurses specialized in anaesthesia and resuscitation care under the guidance of experienced doctors to women after major gynaecological surgeries, surgical childbirth procedures or to patients in an acute condition (e.g. bleeding) or cancer patients.
- We provide intensive care in one four-bed room and one double room. Both are fully equipped with standard monitoring technology.
- A physiotherapist is available on the ward who recommends an exercise regime to support the prevention of thromboembolic disease.
- Women after surgical childbirth are regularly visited by a paediatric nurse who helps them put the baby to the breast and breastfeed.
- The ward includes a private sanitary facility for women after surgery.
