Standard inpatient ward
Gynaecological care is fully provided by the post-operative department. Specialized care is provided by a team of doctors and proficient nurses. Rehabilitation and a nutritional therapists come to the department on a daily basis, adjusting the diet individually according to the needs of the patients. We offer the help of an institutional psychologist and spiritual care to anyone who needs or is interested.
- Post-operative ward – double rooms with private sanitary facilities, equipped with a TV with USB port allowing you to connect your USB devices, Wi-Fi connection. A refrigerator is available for patients in the cafeteria.
- Visits are possible from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- As part of the comprehensive pre-operative preparation, which includes an assessment of the woman's health according to the provided results and an examination by a general practitioner, we provide a pre-operative consultation with an anaesthetist on the appropriate adjustment of medication and prevention of thromboembolic disease.
- We perform surgical interventions primarily via a mini-invasive approach (laparoscopically), but also via a laparotomy approach (larger surgical incision in the abdomen) or vaginal approach (through the vagina).
The most common surgical procedures:
- Hysteroscopy, resectoscopy, vacuum aspiration (mini-suction) and abortion (also including medicated abortion), treatment of the cervix in case of precancerous changes, fibroid surgery, urogynaecological surgery, ranging from plastic surgery up to modern vaginal tape surgery, diagnostic surgery.
- After major surgery, patients are monitored in the intensive care unit, from where they are referred back to the standard ward, depending on the development of their health.
- The length of hospitalization in the postoperative ward depends on the complexity of the surgical procedure and the postoperative condition of the patient. The patient is usually hospitalized for 2 to 3 days after uncomplicated laparoscopic surgeries, and 4 to 7 days after abdominal surgeries. After minor procedures, women are discharged to home treatment on the same day or the following day.
