Welcome to the webpages of Thomayer University Hospital with Polyclinic (FTNsP) which is one of the largest medical facilities in the Czech Republic.

FTNsP is a modern, developing health centre offering specialized, top-quality medical procedures and, at the same time, it provides a professional enviroment for experts from a number of medical fields.

We direct our specialized assistance primarily to the areas of pediatry, pediatric traumatology, oncology and pneumology, through naturally, we also maintain high standards in other clinical areas. FTNsP is a holder of the international certificate BABY FRIENDLY HOSPITAL, awarded by WHO and UNICEF.

We provide our patients with the necessary basic, specialized, and highly specialized therapeutic and diagnostic care, as well as with outpatient services. FTNsP carries out basic and clinical research, introduces and tests new methods, participates in medical drug clinical evaluations and medical equipment testing. Our nursing care is based on modern nursing principles, in particular on the nursing processes focusing on disease prevention, consultancy and the education of patients.

The Hospital’s specialized workplaces form educational bases for medical, pharmaceutical and other faculties. In cooperation with 1st LF UK (First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University) and 3rd LF UK (Third Faculty of Medicine, Charles University), they participate in the undergraduate education of the medical students, providing for practical professional education of high-school, college and university students.
